President Receives Credentials of 5 Envoys

Islamabad (TDI): President Asif Ali Zardari received the credentials of five newly appointed foreign envoys at a formal ceremony held at the President House.

Ambassador-designate of Angola, Julio Belarmino Gomes Maiato, Ambassador-designate of Jamaica, Arthur Williams, Ambassador-designate of Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Roland Reiland, Ambassador-designate of Oriental Republic of Uruguay, Berlado Roque Nicola Flaniguen, and High Commissioner-designate of the Republic of Malta, Dr. Raymond Bondin, formally presented their credentials to the President.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended best wishes to the diplomats, saying “We wish the distinguished envoys a very successful and productive tenure”.

The ceremony organized on Wednesday, marked the beginning of their diplomatic assignments in Pakistan, with hopes of fostering stronger bilateral relations.
