President Putin wishes Independence day to Pakistan

Moscow, 13 August 2021 (TDI): Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended his heartfelt congratulations and sincere wishes to the Pakistani government and the people on the occasion of 75th Independence Day of Pakistan.

President Putin expressed his felicitations in his congratulatory message to Pakistani President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan.

With that, he commended Pak-Russia bilateral ties and their mutual efforts in countering security problems, fighting COVID-19, and settling the Afghan conflict. The President also wished to consolidate these cordial ties in every sector possible. Besides, he also expressed his interest in working jointly for the peace and harmony of the region.

August 14 marks the Independence Day of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. On this day, back in 1947, Pakistan achieved its independence from united India under the British watch.
