Islamabad (TDI): President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have reaffirmed their strong and unwavering commitment to constitutionalism, democratic principles, and the rule of law on the occasion of the International Day of Democracy.
They emphasized the necessity of fortifying democratic institutions, implementing crucial reforms, and working to establish democracy in Pakistan in their addresses.
The nation’s current problems can only be solved through dynamic and robust democratic principles, President Zardari emphasized.
He stressed how important it is for parliament to protect democracy, hear public complaints, and create inclusive policies.

“On World Democracy Day, we honor democracy’s role in enabling people and encouraging their active engagement in the democratic process,” he stated.
Speaking for the defense of fundamental rights and promoting social, political, and economic inclusion, he argued that democracy was the cornerstone of a just society.
Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, reiterated in his address the government’s unwavering commitment to democracy as a cornerstone of human civilization.
He reaffirmed his steadfast support for human rights, democracy, constitutionalism, and the rule of law.

“Our government’s commitment to constitutionalism, democracy, rule of law and human rights is firm and unwavering,” stated the prime minister.
