Islamabad, 3 October 2022 (TDI): President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi meets newly appointed Ambassadors in Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Monday.

The President of Pakistan received diplomatic credentials from the nominated Ambassadors of the Netherlands, Denmark, Switzerland, Finland, Zimbabwe, and Senegal.

Meeting with Ambassador of the Netherlands

The President met the designated Ambassador of the Netherlands to Pakistan Henny Fokel de Vries. On this occasion, Dr. Arif Alvi stated that Pakistan is looking forward to a long-term and multifaceted partnership with the Netherlands in various fields.

Moreover, he acknowledged that the Netherlands is the second largest export destination for Pakistani products in the European Union. He hoped that the Netherlands will continue its support for Pakistan’s GSP Plus Status.

Meeting with Ambassador of Denmark

Ambassador of Denmark to Pakistan Jakob Linulf also met with President Arif Alvi. The President stated that Pakistan is keen to further strengthen relations with Denmark in all fields.

Moreover, he offered that Pakistan’s technology companies can provide affordable and high-quality services and products to Denmark.

The President stressed the need to facilitate travel between the two countries to further improve economic relations and public relations.

Meeting with Ambassador of Switzerland

Ambassador of Switzerland Georg Steiner also met with the President of Pakistan. On the occasion, Dr. Arif Alvi stated that Pakistan highly values its partnership with Switzerland in the fields of economy, trade, socio-economic development, and humanitarian assistance.

In addition, the president offered that Swiss companies can invest in Pakistan’s tourism sector. He highlighted that Pakistan has great potential to attract tourists from all over the world. Also, Pakistan can learn from Switzerland’s tourism and hospitality industry.

Meeting with Ambassador of Finland

Ambassador of Finland Hannu Ripatti also called on President Arif Alvi. The President stressed the need to further increase the bilateral trade volume between the two countries.

Also, the President emphasized the need to increase the relations between the Chambers of Commerce of the two countries.

Meeting with Ambassador of Senegal

In the meeting with the Ambassador of Senegal in Pakistan, he stated that Pakistan considers Senegal an important country in the West African region. The President’s expression of satisfaction with the excellent relations between the two countries.

Meeting with High Commissioner of Zimbabwe

The President also met the High Commissioner of Zimbabwe in Pakistan. He stated that Pakistan is keen to increase cooperation with Zimbabwe in the agriculture, pharmaceutical, and defense sectors.
