Male, 5 December 2022 (TDI): The Ambassador of Maldives to China, Shabeena signed the condolence book on behalf of the President of Maldives upon the demise of the firmer Chinese President.
President of Maldives, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih as part of his concern to the government of China on their loss offered his sincere condolences to the government and people of China.
He highlighted the contributions of Jiang Zemin, China’s former President to the development of the country. Jiang Zemin was a strong and motivated leader who held the name of his country in high esteem.

Emphasizing that the deceased had made contributions to the economic sector of China the President of the Maldives in his message outlined his great works in the international arena.
The Chinese international relations with many countries have been attributed to the works of this late President. Indicating that, the passing away of Jian Zemin was a shock and a great loss to the people of China.
Under his leadership, China grew to a greater level as we see it today and from there has continued to grow economically. Jiang Zemin passed away on the 30th of November 2022 in Shanghai, China at the age of 96.
Many heads of state and the international community as a whole expressed their concern and condolences to the people of China on their loss.
Serving as the former President of the nation meant a lot for the government of China and since his death, many have continued to express their concerns and mourning messages to the people of China.
Maldives and China have continued to show each other support in times of distress. Countries that have been great partners and friends have shown that their bilateral relations are set to last longer.
They have assisted each other in various ways ranging from finance to humanitarian support in times of difficulties.
