President of Azerbaijan’s Official Visit to Pakistan Announced

Islamabad, 9 July 2024 (TDI): At the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, President of Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will visit Pakistan for two days, from July 11–12, 2024. This announcement was made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.

During his visit, President Aliyev will hold significant meetings with both Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari.

These discussions are expected to further strengthen bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, focusing on enhancing cooperation in various sectors.

The visit follows a recent meeting between President Aliyev and Prime Minister Sharif on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, underscoring the growing partnership between the two nations.

This engagement aims to build on the outcomes of their previous discussions, fostering deeper economic, political, and cultural ties.

The agenda for the visit includes high-level talks on trade, investment, and regional security, highlighting the mutual interest in expanding collaboration in these areas.

The leaders will also explore opportunities for increased cooperation in energy, defense, and education.
