Islamabad, 22 August 2024 (TDI): Asian Development Bank (ADB) Country Director Yong Ye called on President Asif Ali Zardari to discuss matters of mutual interest on Thursday.
In the meeting, the ADB country director briefed the president about the role of ADB in the socio-economic development of Pakistan.
The president commended the assistance provided by the Bank to Pakistan during the floods.
He also underlined Islamabad’s measures to deal with climate change, saying that Pakistan had planted mangrove forests on millions of acres of land.
President Zardari also lauder the bank’s services to Pakistan in the fields of agriculture, irrigation and education.
