President IOC praises Chinese athletes for impressive performances

President of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach praised Chinese athletes for exhibiting Olympic spirit in the matches.

Bach gave his remarks during his visit for an interview to China Media Group’s studio at the International Broadcast Center of the Tokyo Olympics on Thursday.

Bach showed up at the stadium during swimming events on Thursday and witnessed Team China claiming gold medals.

He explained that the landscape of sports in China has changed drastically since his first visit to China in 1980 and commended the impressive performances of Chinese athletes in sporting events.
