Lahore (TDI): Renowned Portuguese Guitarist Pedro Joia, currently visiting Pakistan as part of a cultural exchange initiative, is set to enthrall audiences in Lahore with a series of performances and workshops aimed at fostering cross-cultural artistic dialogue.
Following his performance at the International Jazz Festival in Islamabad, Joia will bring his unique musical repertoire to Lahore on Sunday, May 25, at the Alhamra Arts Center.
He will engage in a diversified program of activities; shows, masterclasses, and interactions in Lahore.
On the same day, he will also conduct two masterclass sessions to musicians, instrumentalists, and artists, the first at 11:00 am, co-hosted by Aga Khan Cultural Services, Lahore and Olomopolo Media, and the second at 5:00 pm at the Alhamra Arts Center.
This cultural program is arranged by the Embassy of Portugal in Islamabad, with support from the Camões Institute for Cooperation and Language, I.P., Emirates Airlines, the Honorary Consul of Portugal in Lahore, and the International Jazz Festival.
Jóia’s visit marks a major step in enhancing artistic and cultural relations between Portugal and Pakistan, celebrating the universal language of music through the rich musical heritage of the Portuguese and Pakistani cultures.
