Jeddah (TDI): The newly commissioned Pakistan Navy ship, PNS Khaibar, made a goodwill visit to Saudi Arabia’s International Islamic Port of Jeddah.
During the visit on Monday, a reception-cum-dinner was hosted on the deck of the ship by Consul General of Pakistan Syed Mustafa Rabbani and Captain Ali Raza, Commanding Officer of PNS Khaibar.
The event was attended by dignitaries from the Pakistani community, officers of the Royal Saudi Naval Force, and representatives from the Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah.
The ceremony opened with the national anthems of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. In his welcome address, Captain Ali Raza thanked the attendees for their presence and noted that PNS Khaibar had recently been acquired from Turkiye, marking this as its maiden visit.

He highlighted that the ship is fully equipped with modern warfare capabilities and is named in honor of Khyber Fort in Madinah al-Munawwarah, historically captured by Hazrat Ali Karamullah Wajh (RA).

Consul General Rabbani expressed appreciation to Captain Ali Raza and his crew for the hospitality. The evening also featured a cake-cutting ceremony to commemorate the occasion.
