Islamabad (TDI): The federal cabinet has approved the establishment of the “Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for Palestine and Lebanon” to help the victims of Israeli brutalities.
The approval came during the cabinet meeting on Pakistan’s efforts to send relief goods to Gaza and Palestine chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Speaking on the occasion, the premier emphasized the need for national unity to support Palestinians under Israeli oppression. “As a nation, we must mobilize to aid our Palestinian brothers facing Zionist aggression,” the premier said.
The premier sought a relief plan for Palestine within three days and instructed to include the country’s leading NGOs in these relief efforts to maximize their impact.
He also called for the provision of educational opportunities to as many students from Gaza as possible, inviting educational institutions from both the public and private sectors to participate in this initiative.

During the briefing, the cabinet was informed that since October 2023, Pakistan has dispatched ten shipments, totalling 1,810 tons, consisting of medicines, food, clothing, and other relief items to Palestine.
In other humanitarian efforts, the government is repatriating 71 Pakistani citizens stranded in Lebanon via Damascus. The Prime Minister was also briefed on ongoing efforts to evacuate more Pakistani nationals from war-torn areas.
