PM, Turkish Ambassador Discuss Strengthening Ties

Islamabad (TDI): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif received the Ambassador of Türkiye to Pakistan, Irfan Neziroglu, at the PM House.

Ambassador Neziroglu, who presented his diplomatic credentials on October 28, was warmly greeted by the Prime Minister.

The PM expressed his intent to work closely with the Ambassador to further enhance Pakistan-Turkiye ties.

Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the historic and deeply-rooted brotherly ties between Pakistan and Turkiye.

He expressed his appreciation for Turkiye’s steadfast support for Pakistan on the Kashmir issue and assured that Pakistan would continue to stand by Turkiye on matters vital to its national interests.

The meeting also addressed the regional developments in Gaza and the broader Middle East, where both sides exchanged views on the ongoing crisis.

In conveying his warm wishes to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Prime Minister extended an invitation to the Turkish President to visit Pakistan at his convenience.

Highlighting the steady growth in cooperation between the two nations, Prime Minister Sharif stressed the importance of bolstering ties further, particularly in trade, investment, and defense sectors.

Ambassador Neziroglu expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and affirmed his commitment to strengthening the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and Turkiye.
