Karachi Attack Culprits Won’t Go Unpunished: PM

Islamabad (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday visited the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad to condole the death of two Chinese officials in the Karachi blast last night.

He was received by the Chinese Ambassador, His Excellency Jiang Zaidong.

Speaking on the occasion, PM Sharif expressed profound sorrow and grief over the incident and condemned the attack unequivocally.

“The government is fully mobilized to swiftly identify those responsible for this heinous act of terrorism,” the premier said.

PM Shehbaz reassured the Chinese official that the safety of Chinese citizens in Pakistan is a top priority. He vowed to bring the culprits to justice.

“Any vile conspiracy to harm Pakistan-China relations will not be tolerated,” he said.

Sharif added that he will “personally monitor the progress of this case, and security measures for foreigners will be further fortified.”

The Chinese Ambassador thanked PM Shehbaz for the government’s prompt response and initiation of the investigation following the incident.

“We trust in the Pakistani government’s effective investigation and swift justice for the perpetrators,” Ambassador Jiang conveyed, hoping for a quick resolution and appropriate punishment for those involved.

Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and senior officials from relevant departments also attended the meeting.
