Islamabad (TDI): The Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Saeed Al Malkiy, called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, at the PM House.
The Prime Minister conveyed his regards to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as well as to the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohamed bin Salman.
While fondly recalling his warm and cordial telephone conversation with the Crown Prince on 24 June, the Prime Minister lauded the Kingdom’s efforts for peace in the Middle East as well as its significant role in May’s ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India.
PM Sharif also told the Ambassador that Pakistan has assumed the rotating Presidency of the UN Security Council for the month of July, and will count on Saudi Arabia’s support to ensure that this tenure is conducted smoothly and successfully.
The Saudi Ambassador, in turn, thanked the Prime Minister for Pakistan’s role in maintaining peace in the region.
