PM Shehbaz Condemns Karachi Blast

Islamabad (TDI): The attack that killed two Chinese nationals and injured another in Karachi on Sunday night was strongly condemned by PM Shehbaz Sharif on Monday.

He claimed that Pakistan’s sworn foes were the ones who carried out this atrocious crime rather than Pakistanis.

The prime minister expressed his sincere shock and sorrow over the incident and sent his best wishes to China’s officials and people, especially the families of the deceased.

In a post on X, the prime minister prayed for the injured people’s quick recovery.

To identify the offenders and bring them to justice, he declared that an instant inquiry was underway.

PM Shehbaz Sharif stated, “Pakistan is determined to protect our friends in China. We’ll do everything in our power to protect their safety and well.”

It is important to note that the number of fatalities from the explosion in Karachi has increased to three, including two foreigners.

The Chinese Embassy reported that the explosion on a road close to the airport in Karachi claimed the lives of two of its nationals and injured ten others.

According to rescue personnel, the bodies of two Chinese nationals were moved to the morgue at the Edhi Center.

Due to an upcoming return visit by the investigating teams, the security officers have secured the crime scene to prevent the general public from entering.
