PM Promises Support to Pak-Malaysia Business Communities

ISLAMABAD (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assured the best possible facilities for both the Pakistani and Malaysian business communities to enhance their commercial activities and promote economic cooperation.

Speaking at the Pakistan-Malaysia High-Level Business Dialogue, Sharif underscored the importance of strengthening the economic and business relationship between the two nations.

 Pakistan, Malaysia to Strengthen Trade Ties

Sharif also referenced his recent discussions with Malaysian Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim, describing the meetings as “highly productive.”

The two leaders, according to premier, addressed a number of issues facing both countries, and Anwar Ibrahim expressed strong support for joint ventures between Pakistani and Malaysian businesses.

These ventures are expected to focus on sectors such as Halal meat, information technology, and other areas of mutual interest.

The Prime Minister noted that Anwar Ibrahim’s visit to Pakistan would further enhance bilateral relations, particularly in trade and investment.

He also highlighted Pakistan’s readiness to seize opportunities to export high-quality Halal meat to Malaysia, with formal agreements on this expected to be finalized during the Malaysian Prime Minister’s upcoming visit to Pakistan.

On the occasion, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim emphasized the need for closer business ties between the two countries.

He assured that Malaysia would continue its efforts to strengthen economic cooperation with Pakistan and deepen bilateral relations.
