Islamabad (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday congratulated President Donald Trump on assuming office as the 47th president of the United States.
In a post on X, Shehbaz said he was looking forward to working with him to strengthen the enduring Pakistan-U.S. partnership.
“Over the years, our two great countries have worked together closely to pursue peace and prosperity in the region and beyond for our peoples & we shall continue to do so in the future,” he wrote on X.

He extended best wishes to President Trump for a successful second term in office.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari also congratulated Donald Trump on assuming office, a statement from the President’s House said.
According to the statement, President Zardari also extended He extended his best wishes to the new US President.
