Beijing (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday directed Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to ensure that Islamabad’s under-construction hospitals, including the Jinnah Medical Complex, are developed with simple, robust, and sustainable infrastructure, modeled on China’s healthcare standards.
The prime minister, during his visit to Beijing’s Anzhen Hospital, instructed officials to prioritize the provision of high-quality facilities in Pakistan, adopting the Chinese approach to hospital management and patient care.
PM Shehbaz Sharif toured various departments of the hospital and reviewed the facilities being offered to patients.

He lauded the use of modern technology, robotic systems, and efficient administrative models, describing them as key factors behind the hospital’s effectiveness.
He emphasized that Pakistan’s new medical institutions should follow similar practices to deliver international-standard healthcare to citizens.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with federal ministers Mohsin Naqvi, Ahsan Iqbal, Muhammad Aurangzeb, and Attaullah Tarar, accompanied the prime minister during the visit.
