Islamabad (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday directed authorities to arrest all human traffickers within one week and start legal action against them.
He made these remarks while presiding over a review meeting focused on efforts to curb human trafficking in Islamabad.
PM Shehbaz instructed for formation of a commission under Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to develop long-term strategies to combat human trafficking.

The prime minister was informed about the government’s efforts to prevent human trafficking during the meeting.
The Foreign Office officials also updated the meeting on the identification of the Pakistani victims of the Greek boat accident and the return of their bodies.

Expressing concern, the premier questioned why no disciplinary action had been taken against government officials who facilitated human traffickers.
Senior officials from pertinent departments, including Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, attended the meeting.
