PM Highlights Women’s Role in National Development

Islamabad (TDI): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz, in his message on National Working Women’s Day, lauded the vital contributions of Pakistani women to the nation’s progress, emphasizing their role in shaping society and driving economic growth.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing equal opportunities and implementing initiatives such as interest-free loans for women entrepreneurs, daycare facilities, and specialized training programs to empower women and ensure their active participation in Pakistan’s development.

The prime minister said that women make up more than half of the country’s population and play a very important role in shaping Pakistan’s future.

“Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah clearly said that no nation can rise to the height of glory unless its women are side by side with it,” the PM said.

He said that women are serving in leadership positions across different sectors, from healthcare to education and from business and public service.

Their contributions are crucial not only in the professional domain but also in nurturing families and raising future generations, he added.
