Islamabad (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday strongly condemned Israeli strikes on Iran, expressing Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Iranian people and sympathy over the loss of innocent civilian lives.
Speaking with Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam at the Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference in Islamabad, the prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s firm stance against what he called “blatant aggression” by Israel.
The meeting came amid growing regional tensions following a series of deadly Israeli air raids on Iranian targets.
Prime Minister Shehbaz conveyed condolences on behalf of the Pakistani nation and emphasized the importance of solidarity during times of crisis.
He also referenced his recent phone call with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, during which he assured Iran of Pakistan’s diplomatic backing.
