PM Belgium, Pakistan discuss Afghanistan

Brussels, 24 August 2021 (TDI): The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan and his counterpart from Belgium, Alexander De Croo discussed the evolving situation in Afghanistan via a telephonic conversation on Monday. They exchanged their views on the Afghan crisis and Pakistan’s role in the evacuation of foreign nationals from Kabul, Afghanistan.

The PM of Pakistan stressed that the safety and security of Afghans are particularly important. He also said that a peaceful Afghanistan is equally essential and significant for Pakistan and regional stability. While the PM Belgium praised Pakistan’s efforts in aiding people from Kabul, he also said that Pakistan’s support for Belgium’s Red Kite mission in Afghanistan is essential for their bilateral relations.
