Beijing, 31 August 2021 (TDI): People Liberation Army is going to take part in SCO’s annual military drills titled “Peace Mission 2021”, which is going to take place from 11 to 25 September. Besides PLA, other SCO members Russia, Pakistan, and India, etc. will also be taking part in the counter-terrorism exercise under the Peace Mission 2021.
The objective of this military exercise is to enhance the defense cooperation among member states of SCO for maintaining regional peace and dealing with regional challenges. In this regard, the PLA transported its troops and machinery through the Railway, which allowed them to transfer heavy equipment.
The Chinese Army will cover a distance of 6300 KM, and it is believed to be the longest distance the PLA has transported troops via train to a military drill in a foreign land.
