Islamabad (TDI): Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Thursday announced the launch of direct flights from Lahore to Paris, with the first flight set to take off on June 18, as part of its policy to further expand flight operations.
“The national airline has decided to operate a weekly flight from Lahore to Paris every Wednesday,” a spokesman stated. “With the launch of this flight, three direct flights per week will become part of PIA’s operations.”
According to the spokesperson, the new route is part of PIA’s broader strategy to expand European network and cater to the growing demand from the Pakistani communities in France and Pakistan.
The spokesperson added that this direct route to Paris addresses a long-standing demand from the Pakistani diaspora, offering affordable fares and time savings, according to Dawn.

Earlier this year, to celebrate the relaunch of its Islamabad-Paris route, PIA adorned a Boeing 777 aircraft with a model of the Eiffel Tower on its tail and the slogan “I Love Paris” on the nose.
The plane was upgraded to comply with European Union (EU) aviation standards.

Additionally, PIA introduced a wireless in-flight entertainment system on this route, enabling passengers to stream content on their personal devices.
