Baku, 7 August 2021 (TDI): On Saturday, Jeyhun Bayramov, the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, spoke via phone with Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, the Foreign Minister of Turkey.
Both parties discussed the latest situation of forest fires in Turkey. They also talked about ongoing firefighting and rescue operations. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu praised Azerbaijan for providing a new group of firefighters and technical aid. He, while speaking about the firefighting procedure, said that fires were prevented in Antalya. He also stated that firefighting activities are continuing in several other locations and more work is underway to restore the damaged infrastructure.
Jeyhun Bayramov reaffirmed that Azerbaijan has always stood with Turkey and is ready to provide all necessary assistance in these tough times as well.
