Tashkent, 2 September 2021 (TDI): President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephonic conversation with Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Turkey.
Turkish President congratulated Uzbekistan on 30th Anniversary of Independence. In 1991, Turkey was the first country to recognize the independence of Central Asian countries. Turkish President extended his warm wishes to Uzbek leadership and multinational people. He also stated that both countries have a long-standing brotherhood that extends from the past to the future.
Both parties highlighted the importance of cooperation in various areas of mutual interests and discussed the critical situation of Afghanistan as well.
