Moscow, 15 September 2021 (TDI): President of Russia, Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.
President Putin told his Tajik Counterpart that he will be participating in Collective Security Treaty Organization, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization virtually. These meetings are scheduled this week in Dushanbe. Both leaders also conversed on the facets of bilateral relations between Russia and Tajikistan. They also discussed the evolving situation in Afghanistan. Also, how collaborative projects will help avert possible Afghan crisis.
Both sides committed to strengthening border controls and reinforcing political and security cooperation.
