Bamyan: 31 July 2021 (TDI)
Farmers in Afghanistan benefit from the Irrigation upgrades in Bamyan province.
Many Afghans are earning better and are living better after the development of two irrigation systems.
The fact that upgrades have been made under Irrigation Restoration Development Project has controlled flooding and water shortage in main canals and this has resulted in excellent water management.
There are about 600 homes in four villages called Foladi, Nawrozi, Qhazan, and Sia Khar Bloq have seen economic and living conditions improve since the development of irrigation systems. This project is funded by Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund and managed by the World Bank.
