Michael Gough and Adrian Holdstock will perform the duties of on-field umpires for the second Test in Karachi. Richard Kettleborough will serve as a third umpire, while Asif Yaqoob of Pakistan will act as the fourth umpire.
The first Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh will take place from August 21 to 25 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The second Test match will be played at Karachi’s National Bank Stadium from August 30 to September 3.
The upcoming series would be a test for Bangladesh’s preparations and resolve as Pakistan has never lost a Test against Bangladesh at home.
On the other hand, the series is of equal importance for Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood who will be leading the national side for the first time at home.
Under his leadership, Pakistan failed to win a single Test match during the three-match Test series against Australia earlier this year.
