Political Parties Vow Joint Front Against Indian Aggression

Islamabad (TDI): All mainstream political parties, except PTI, vowed on Sunday that Pakistan would give a robust response to India if it resorted to any misadventure against the backdrop of the Pahalgam incident, in which 26 people were killed.

The political leaders made this pledge during an in-camera briefing by the civil and military leadership on Sunday, in which Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt-Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar apprised the mainstream political parties about the latest situation in the region and the preparedness of the country’s armed forces to avert any misadventure by India.

Before the briefing began, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif stated that the primary aim of the session was to get input from the political parties in view of the rising tensions with India.

During the meeting, participants were informed that India intended to use Pahalgam incident to divert Indus water and escalate oppression in IIOJK.

Senator Muhammad Abdul Qadir, who was present in the session, stated that the attendees were briefed on the motives behind India’s orchestrated attack in Pahalgam.

He said, as per information shared with the political leaders, the primary purpose of the operation was to further divert Indus water, intensify aggression in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), and camouflage Indian terrorism with the help of the Afghan Taliban, according to Dawn.

Soon after the attack, India falsely accused that Pakistan was involved in the attack. Pakistan rejected the baseless allegations, termed the attack a false flag operation by India and called for a neutral investigation.
