Parliamentary Diplomacy between Pakistan and Belarus discussed

Islamabad/Minsk, 1 September 2021 (TDI):  Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs of the National Assembly of Pakistan Malik Muhammad Ehsan Ullah Tiwana held an online meeting with the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on International Affairs A. V. Savinykh.  The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between the two countries including strengthening of inter-parliamentary dialogue. They exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation in agriculture, industry, energy, medicine, and education between the two countries.
During the meeting, regional and international issues of significance including an evolving situation in Afghanistan and South Asia also came under discussion.
The two sides exchanged proposals regarding the planned visit of the Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan Asad Qaiser to the Republic of Belarus later this month.
