Palestinian Students’ 8th Batch Leaves for Pakistan

Cairo (TDI): The eighth group of Palestinian students from Gaza departed for Pakistan on Thursday to continue their medical education, an initiative facilitated by the Pakistani embassy in Egypt.

The departure of these eight students was arranged under the direction of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, with support from Global Relief Trust, Doctors of Rahman, and Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan.

The Pakistani embassy in Cairo announced the students’ departure on social media platform X.

This program follows Pakistan government’s July decision to welcome medical students from Gaza to complete their education in Pakistan on humanitarian grounds.

The initiative is intended to support Gaza’s healthcare sector by enabling students to pursue specialized training in cardiology, orthopedics, oncology, pediatrics, and surgery, addressing critical medical needs within the region.
