Ramallah, 31 May 2024 (TDI): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Palestine welcomes Slovenia’s recognition of Palestinian statehood on 30th May 2024. The move awaits confirmation from the Slovenian Parliament which will deliberate on it the following week.

Additionally, the Palestinian Ministry said that the recognition will also help uphold the right of self-determination of the oppressed Palestinian people. Consequently, it will bring about stability and peace in the region by delivering long-overdue justice for the Palestinian people.
Call for International Support
The Ministry called for the recognition of the State of Palestine by all nations, particularly those in Europe. By recognizing their right to self-determination, the Palestinian people would be freed from decades-old injustice.
