Pakistan’s satellite MM1 set to launch in China

Islamabad, 30 May 2024 (TDI): Minister Prof. Ahsan Iqbal was interviewed by local media in Xichang, China, about the launch of Pakistan’s Multi-Mission Satellite 1 (MM1) later this evening.

After the successful launch of Satellite ICube Qamar, Pakistan’s Modern Communication Satellite, MM1 will be launched into Space tomorrow.

The satellite PAKSAT MM1 will be launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in China.

SUPARCO

The Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission  (SUPARCO) manages Pakistan’s space program.

Moreover, It focuses on enhancing the nation’s capabilities in satellite communications, remote sensing, and meteorological science.

Notably, SUPARCO, or the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission, is Pakistan’s national space agency. Established in 1961 and it became a commission in 1981.

However, the Suparco MM1 Satellite is a result of the tireless efforts of Pakistani Scientists and Engineers. Scientists designed the satellite keeping in sight the growing needs of the country in the broad spectrum of communication and connectivity.

According to (Suparco) officials, the satellite will help usher Pakistan into the digital era by helping to provide internet to remote areas.

The successful launch of #PakSat_MM1 is the outcome of extensive hard work. It highlights the cooperation between SUPARCO Pakistan and the Chinese Aerospace Industry. It is a remarkable example of technological cooperation between the two countries.

So far the national space agency now plans to launch another communication satellite with Chinese assistance.

PakSat MM1

Satellite is useful in looking at the growing needs of the country in the broad spectrum of communication and connectivity. The satellite is based on advanced communication technologies.

PakSat MM1 will play a pivotal role in the socio-economic uplift of the country. It will prove to be a stepping stone in the transformation of the country into Digital Pakistan.

The launch ceremony would be broadcast live from Suparco’s offices in Islamabad and Karachi.
