Washington (TDI): The Embassy of Pakistan participated in the 11th Winternational Festival 2024 in Washington, United States, showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage, arts, and traditions.
The event served as a platform to highlight Pakistan’s vibrant history and foster cultural ties.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, underscored the importance of such events in promoting mutual understanding and strengthening international relations.
“Pakistan is a rich repository of cultural heritage and history, and the Embassy remains committed to strengthening connections through cultural exchanges,” he stated.

Kimberly A. Bassett, Secretary of the District of Columbia, marked the significance of the day by presenting an official proclamation from Mayor Muriel Bowser, declaring December 5 as Winternational Day in Washington, DC.
The Embassy team, including First Secretary Ifrah Tariq, Press and Culture Attaché Zaigham Abbas, and Head of Chancery Dr. Tahir Jamil, played a pivotal role in curating Pakistan’s presence at the festival.
