Singapore (TDI): Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Singapore, Rabia Shafiq, officially inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion at the 2024 Singapore Fintech Festival (SFF) on Thursday, encouraging Pakistani firms to seize the opportunity to forge international partnerships and highlight the country’s growing technological prowess.

Speaking at the event, she emphasized that Pakistan’s rapidly expanding tech talent, strategic geographic location, and favorable time zone position the country as an attractive IT hub for global businesses.

She also noted the government’s strong commitment to enhancing the “Tech Destination Pakistan” brand, citing the establishment of the Special Technology Zones Authority to support the sector’s growth.

This year, a delegation of ten top Pakistani fintech firms is participating in the festival, signaling the country’s increasing role in the global fintech landscape.

Among the standout participants is Hakeem App, a renowned Pakistani fintech firm, which has been nominated for the “Fintech Excellence Award 2024” by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

This recognition underscores the growing strength and innovation within Pakistan’s fintech industry.
