Pakistan’s First Alumna of Royal College of Defence Studies

London,  July 19, 2021 (TDI): Group Captain Maria Saeed becomes the first female alumna of Royal College of Defence Studies, UK.

Maria Saeed is also a holder of Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for her outstanding performance and hard work in the Pakistan Air Force. She is associated with the Engineering Branch of the Pakistan Air Force.

This year she successfully completed her course at the Royal College of Defence Studies – a Senior Military College located in London- making her the first student from Pakistan to have accomplished this achievement.

Diplomats all around the world have extended their congratulations and best wishes to her on her success. High Commissioner of Pakistan to the United Kingdom, Moazzam Ahmad Khan praised her in such words, ‘She is a trailblazer and a role model for all young Pakistani women.’

British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Christian Turner has also congratulated her and has further commented that she is “The first female Pakistani officer to undertake the course but I’m sure not the last.”
