Dubai (TDI): Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, extended his full support to Pakistani exhibitors on Wednesday, emphasizing the Embassy’s commitment to advancing business ventures between Pakistani and UAE-based companies.
During a meeting at the Dubai World Trade Centre to review the performance of Pakistani exhibitors at GITEX Global 2024, he stated, “We are dedicated to ensuring that Pakistani IT companies registered in Pakistan receive comprehensive support, particularly in facilitating joint ventures to enable capital repatriation, which is essential for strengthening our national economy.”
Ambassador Tirmizi underscored the importance of collaboration among high-end IT firms to create consortia capable of delivering world-class services in the global market.

Recognized as the “Tech Destination of the Year 2024,” Pakistan’s IT sector has garnered significant attention for its innovative products and solutions, as highlighted in a press release.
The GITEX Global 2024 event has marked a milestone for Pakistan’s IT industry, reinforcing the country’s reputation as a prominent player in the global technology market.
The meeting also featured notable attendees, including Ali Zeb Khan, Trade and Investment Counsellor in Dubai; Muhammad Zohaib Khan, former chairman of P@SHA; Umair Nizam, Senior Vice President of P@SHA; and several senior officials from the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and the tech industry.
Discussions centered around the feedback received from international delegates and potential partnerships with global companies.

The ambassador noted that Pakistani firms have garnered overwhelming interest from various organizations eager to collaborate and explore Pakistan’s IT products and services.
Additionally, Tirmizi emphasized the necessity of organizing dedicated IT-specific events focusing on sectors such as digital transformation, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.
These initiatives, he stated, would showcase Pakistan’s strengths in these fields and help foster stronger international partnerships.
