USIP: An Overview
The United States Institute of Peace was formed in order to collaborate with a network of regional organizations. The institute was introduced in order to test the effectiveness of arts, media, education, and culture as engagement for peacebuilding.
Moreover, the purpose of the establishment of the USIP was to bring forward the growing intolerance for the narrow capacity of state and diversity.
Hence, in order to prevent and resolve the unrest in Pakistan which has led to increased violence and extremism in the country, the organization has been collaborating with the country.
Additionally, the institute also contributes to various ventures to strengthen democratic systems as well as governance. Besides that, it facilitates law enforcement and judicial reform building along with encouraging women’s participation in the security sector and policy development.
