Pakistan’s Ambassador Sajjad hosts media representatives of Belarus

Minsk, 27 February 2024 (TDI): The Ambassador of Pakistan to Belarus Sajjad Haider Khan hosted an informal interaction with media representatives as part of celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Belarus.

The attendees included members from the National State TV and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus, known as Belteleradio, as well as Belarus 24, the state television and radio channel of Belarus.

Moreover, representatives of Belarus3TV and other media houses were also part of the gathering marking the commemoration of the thirtieth anniversary of the development of Pakistan-Belarus diplomatic ties.

The participants engaged in fruitful discussions about the positive trajectory of bilateral relations. Besides, the event featured a captivating video documentary on Pakistan, Belarusian poetry recitation, a stimulating quiz competition, and Urdu songs.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belarus Sajjad Haider Khan recognized the invaluable contributions of eight mass media representatives. He awarded them with diplomas in appreciation of their efforts to strengthen the bonds between Pakistan and Belarus.

In addition to this, the esteemed guests savored select Pakistani cuisine. They experienced the rich flavors of Pakistan’s traditional dishes.

Pakistan-Belarus promising bilateral relations

Pakistan-Belarus bilateral relations are characterized by mutual respect and trust, along with a constructive dialogue. This relationship is grounded in the Islamabad Declaration of Pakistan-Belarus Partnership and the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation of 2015.

This partnership has flourished over the years, marked by frequent high-level exchanges. There has also been robust collaboration in the economic, industrial, and agricultural sectors.

As a testament to a mutually beneficial relationship, Pakistan and Belarus have concluded an agreement. This agreement abolishes visa requirements for holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports.

The celebration of thirty years of diplomatic ties marks a significant milestone, reflecting on the shared achievements between Pakistan and Belarus. It also serves as an opportunity to envision a future characterized by increased collaboration between the two nations.
