Cairo (TDI): Pakistan’s newly appointed Ambassador to Egypt, Aamir Shouket, formally presented a copy of his credentials to Ambassador Haitham Salah, Chief of Protocol at the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a ceremony held on Sunday.
The meeting marked the commencement of Ambassador Shouket’s diplomatic mission in Egypt.
During their interaction, both envoys discussed a range of issues to strengthen and diversify Pakistan-Egypt bilateral relations, with a focus on strengthening cooperation in trade, investment, education, and cultural exchange.
Pakistan and Egypt enjoy socio-cultural ties built on cordiality, mutual respect, and cooperation at various international forums.
Regular high-level exchanges are conducted between both countries to strengthen these ties.
In recent years, Pakistan and Egypt both have expressed interest in joint ventures in the fields of textiles, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and defense.

Socio-cultural and educational cooperation have also remained an important dimension of bilateral engagement, with academia and institutional links currently being developed.
