Moscow, 15 August 2024 (TDI): Pakistani flag was digitally displayed on three high rise buildings in the heart of Moscow on Wednesday night to mark the Independence Day of Pakistan.
The three buildings in Arbat street were close to Red square and were designed in the shape of an open book.
These buildings could be easily seen from River Moscow.
Pakistan and Russia had completed 76 years of their diplomatic ties.
Pakistan and the Soviet Union (predecessor of the Russian Federation) first established the diplomatic and bilateral relations on 1 May 1948.

Throughout the Cold War, bilateral relations the two countries saw ups and downs.
However, in recent years, relations between Pakistan and Russia have warmed. The two countries carried out their first-ever joint military exercises in 2016.
Pakistan and Russia inked a deal for the Pakistan Stream Gas pipeline from Karachi to Kasur, and reached a price accord by December 2016.
Islamabad has also granted Moscow access to a warm water port in the Arabian sea through Gwadar Port).
Since Pakistan joined the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), relations between both countries have become closer.
