Washington (TDI): Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, has said that sustained and intensive diplomatic engagement is underway in response to the evolving US-Iran situation, including the recent ceasefire and ongoing talks in Islamabad.
In an interview with NBC News, the ambassador noted that Islamabad has remained consistent in its diplomatic approach, actively working to encourage dialogue and de-escalation.
He pointed out that Pakistan’s efforts have been reinforced by cooperation from key regional partners, naming countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Türkiye as important contributors to the broader diplomatic push.
Sheikh expressed optimism that continued engagement and a spirit of understanding between the parties could help address unresolved issues.
He added that Pakistan, alongside the wider international community, is extending goodwill and support toward achieving a peaceful and lasting resolution.
