XINJIANG, 03 Sep 2024 (TDI): Pakistani media representatives and think tank’s members who has visited China praised cultural and modern development in China’s different region.
During their stay in China, they also visited Xinjiang, China, a region known for natural beauty, cultural heritage.
The Pakistani delegation witnessed a special performance at the Xinjiang Muqam Art Theatre and various cultural functions in the region. Several ethnic groups, like Uygur, Han, Kazak, Hui, and many other ethnicities coexist in harmony in the region. The Pakistani delegation also visited Kazanqi folk tourism area.
According to Chinese media reports, the Pakistani delegates took keen interest in traditional lifestyle of the Uygur people. They were facilitated to visit small villages and communities to experience local culture from inside in the region.
The delegation visited different media outlets and other facilities in China as well.
The Pakistani representatives from Think Tanks and Media also witnessed the achievements as a result of cooperation between China and Pakistan under the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
Initiated in 2013, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a flagship project of BRI, is now entering into an advance stage. it includes new energy and agriculture sectors besides infrastructure development now.
And as the time passing engagement of Chinese private sectors in Pakistani market is increasing. For example, LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (LONGi), a leading global solar technology company in Xi’an, entered the Pakistani market few years back. Today, the market share of LONGi’s photovoltaic (PV) module in Pakistan is over 40 percent.

The delegation also witnessed development in the China’s region. According to media reports the representatives from Pakistan were impressed by the cultural and modern development in China.
Earlier, a high level Pakistani delegation under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had visited China this year.
The purpose of the visit is to enhance people to people contact between the two countries and develop a better understanding about the culture and development in China.
