Pakistani Culture Shines at Brussels Heritage Festival

Brussels (TDI): The Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels highlighted the country’s rich cultural heritage at the Annual Brussels Heritage Day 2025, one of the Belgian capital’s most celebrated cultural festivals.

The embassy opened its doors to Belgian and international visitors, offering them a vibrant experience of Pakistan’s traditions through colorful displays, authentic cuisine, and interactive activities.

Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi, Pakistan’s envoy to Belgium, Luxembourg, and the European Union, formally inaugurated the event.

In his remarks, the ambassador stressed the role of cultural diplomacy in promoting mutual understanding and building stronger people-to-people ties between Pakistan and Europe.

The embassy premises were transformed into a cultural hub, showcasing traditional handicrafts, regional attire, scenic photography, and Pakistan’s leading export products.

Guests explored stalls with artisanal goods, a dedicated henna section, and family-friendly interactive spaces, including recreational activities for children.

The culinary corner proved to be one of the highlights, with visitors enjoying an array of Pakistani and Kashmiri dishes that reflected the country’s diverse gastronomic heritage.

Informative documentaries, books, and tourism booths further introduced visitors to Pakistan’s history, culture, and travel opportunities.

Brussels Heritage Day, an annual event during which diplomatic missions, historic buildings, and government institutions welcome the public, provided Pakistan with a unique platform to share its cultural wealth.

The embassy’s active participation this year underscored its commitment to cultural exchange and to presenting Pakistan’s diverse traditions to a wider international audience.
