Kabul, June 09, 2021 (TDI): The Ambassador of Pakistan to Afghanistan, Mansoor Ahmed Khan, spent the complete day meeting different political personalities in Kabul today.
Ambassador Mansoor had constructive discussions with them about the Afghan Peace Process. The meetings also highlighted ways to enhance bilateral relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Pakistan is an active partner and supports long-term peace and stability in Afghanistan. Now, as the Afghan Peace Process is progressing, the future of bilateral ties is bright for the nation and the region.
Ambassador Mansoor Ahmed Khan met the former president of Afghanistan, Mr. Hamid Karzai, Afghan President’s Special Envoy for Pakistan, Mr. Mohammed Umer Daudzai, Chairman Afghan High Council for National Reconciliation, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, leading Afghan businessman, Zamaray Kamgar.
In his meetings with the Afghan political and business dignitaries, he has discussed the Afghan peace process and affiliated matters. Mutual areas of cooperation have also been discussed during these engagements. Ambassadors exchanged views on the expansion of business and investment plans between the two nations as well.
Enhancement of the bilateral ties between the two states and especially how Pakistan is contributing towards peacebuilding in the region.
Currently, US forces are in the process of withdrawal from Afghanistan and recently US Secretary of State in his statement said that the US will maintain the diplomatic presence in the country.
