Baku, 13 October 2021 (TDI): On Tuesday, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Bilal Hayee, met with Azerbaijan’s acting Minister of Health, Teymur Musayev in Baku. The officials exchanged views on the bilateral cooperation of both states in the health sector.

During the meeting, Ambassador Bilal and Minister Musayev discussed the current situation of Covid-19 in Pakistan and Azerbaijan. They also discussed the measures the governments of both states could take while tackling the pandemic. Moreover, the officials exhibited their concerns over the availability of Covid vaccines and made a commitment to collectively work on increasing the health opportunities in both states.
Pakistan and Azerbaijan share a history of cordial and long-standing bilateral relations. The areas of mutual cooperation include security, politics, economy, technology, and culture. Their diplomatic relationship is built on the philosophy of shared prosperity and balanced commercial ties. The relationship is further bolstered through enhanced socio-economic connection, improved political understanding, and increased military cooperation between the two countries.
