Islamabad (TDI): The 9th meeting of the Pakistan-Uzbekistan Intergovernmental Joint Commission will take place in Tashkent on November 3-4, 2024.
A delegation led by Pakistan’s Minister of Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, will visit Uzbekistan to attend the important meeting.
The delegation will include representatives from over 30 Pakistani business sectors, spanning industries such as food, textiles, pharmaceuticals, automotive, electrical, and chemicals, as well as transport and logistics.
This diverse representation underscores the growing economic ties between the two nations.
Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, will co-chair the meeting from the Uzbek side.
The discussions are expected to focus on enhancing bilateral cooperation and addressing key economic challenges.

After the meeting, a package of agreements is anticipated to be signed, further solidifying the partnership between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
In addition to the Joint Commission meeting, the heads of the delegations will participate in the Uzbekistan-Pakistan Business Forum, where they will deliver speeches and engage in the “G2B” meeting, aimed at fostering collaboration between government and business sectors.

Minister Jam Kamal Khan’s visit will also include several meetings with heads of Uzbek ministries and authorities, facilitating dialogue on mutual interests and economic development initiatives.
