Tehran (TDI): Pakistan has called for swift implementation of the Economic Cooperation Organization’s (ECO) Trade Agreement to strengthen regional cooperation.
Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch represented Pakistan at the inaugural meeting of the “High-Level Committee on ECO Reforms and the Prospects of Cooperation in the Region” in Tehran, Iran on Monday.
Emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment as a founding member of Economic Cooperation Organization, she called for renewed momentum, redefined goals of ECO, and the swift implementation of the ECO Trade Agreement to strengthen regional cooperation, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Baloch stressed the need for enhanced economic integration among member nations of ECO.
She said that a well-implemented Economic Cooperation Organization’s Trade Agreement could unlock new trade opportunities, enhance connectivity and foster sustainable growth across the region.
