Islamabad (TDI): US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker on Wednesday reaffirmed the strength of Pakistan-US ties and expressed optimism about the future of bilateral collaboration in various fields.
Commemorating the 249th anniversary of the US Declaration of Independence here at the American Embassy in Islamabad, she said, “Tonight is not just about our history, it’s about the ideals we continue to pursue together: liberty, equality, and opportunity.”
Baker noted that the United States was among the first nations to recognize Pakistan following its independence in 1947, and she emphasized how bilateral ties have deepened over nearly eight decades.
“This partnership has evolved with mutual respect and a shared commitment to peace, prosperity, and progress,” she said.
